My new favourite thing to wear during midnight sewing sessions

One of my shopping obsessions is pajamas; the cuter the better. But while us fans of winter fashion will love layering scarves boots and jackets in the day time...its hard to find winter pjs that you feel anything more than frumpy in. While trackies hoodies and your dads footy socks may be super comfy..they're not something you feel like wearing in front of anyone but immediate family.
One of my favourite people & best friends Emma bought me some to-die-for pajama bottoms from Peter Alexander this week. So, totally inspired, I went in to one of his stores to see what other gorgeous sleepwear I could discover.
& discover I did! How cute are these blue & pink striped bedsocks; I wore them all afternoon just because I could. Who says you have to feel frumpy and yuck in warm winter pjs!

Go shout yourself some beautiful sleepwear this week dolls- you deserve it xxxx

For the little ones...

I recently made this gorgeous little "bubba apron" to give as a present to one of my favourite people in the world Aleisha at her baby shower.

It was just so cute that I had to make another; I sense somewhat of an addiction coming on! Here it is :)

The best thing about this little apron is I still have plenty of material left over; so I'm thinking a matching mum & bub set just has to be done! Let me know if anyone's interested in this one.

More creations coming online really soon dolls xxx

Imaginary infestations of the truly un-cool

It constantly amazes me how skilled women of all ages are at communicating with little to no exchange of actual words. As you would all know, often it can take no more than an all-knowing look passed between two of us for an entire conversation-length of information to be exchanged. Whether it's a mother & daughter, a best friend or a brief exchange with a complete stranger on the street; there's no doubt we have very unique (& skilled!) communications tactics.

On the thought of communication; I did some research into some common slang terms used back in the 1950s (the era that continually inspires the image of the Elizabeth Class brand!) and thought I'd pass on some of the one's I found!....There were some I hadn't heard of & I think are definitely worth bringing back! Plus, us girls could always use with some more sneaky communication tactics to uphold our mystery & charm don't you think ;) Enjoy...

"Pinky’s out of jail" - your slip is showing
(I like this one! Very handy girl-code....could be used for a number of possible 'slips' of the underwear variety)

"Nerd" - same as now. Bill Gates without the money.
Haha! Not only a funny definition but also a subtle reminder; don't write off nerds in our younger years, their brains (& bank balances!) are only set to get more handy later on in life ;)

"Queen": a popular girl

"Smog in the noggin": lost memory; forgot something .
Now THIS one is a perfect example of monday mornings/friday afternoons at work, school or uni! We've all had these moments...

"Cooties": imaginary infestations of the truly un-cool.
Now THAT is a well written definition. And love that this term is still more than active in the primary school language of today.

"Dolly": A cute girl
Wouldn't it be nice to bring back such a beautiful term for the girls of our day & age

So until next time...
Take care Dolly xxx
